Declaration of Faith

The Ecumenical Community Church has adopted the following Declaration of Faith as its standard and official expression. As an Ecumenical Church, we accept with one heart, different denominations have different beliefs. Our catholic members believe in seven sacraments whereas our Lutheran members believe in two. Our policy is to hold true to your own belief system that brings you closer to God and continues your ministry in Christ's name. However - our core beliefs are the same and are as follows.

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit ... Jesus Christ to be the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day He arose from the dead according to Holy Scripture. He ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to Judge both the living and the dead, and His Kingdom will have no end.
