ECC+C Services
Your marriage, blessing, baptism or home/hospital Eucharist with ECC+C clergy.
Many people ask us to take Holy Communion to their homes or hospitials - we actively encourage and promote the participation of Home Communion and we all consider this to be a priority within our ministries.
All of us are over-joyed when couples who cannot (or don't want to) access a mainstream church make a request for a minister with the ECC+C to officiate over their memorial service, wedding blessing following a civil service, or baptism. The Church of England has changed its policies and offer services to couples whether they are baptised or not to encourage more weddings in their parishes. However more and more couples really don't want to go down the mainstream road for their wedding but they do want God's blessing.
So, if it is difficult for you to access a RC or CofE church building for whatever reason then please contact us. We are based from Blackpool to Southampton and from Bristol to Cambridge and we have contacts with many hotels who offer their chapels for the service within their grounds. Father Rod can organise a quieter service for you within the New Forest church he uses for his services if this is your preference.
Fr Rod holds his services at St Margaret's, Lyndhurst. Holy Matrimony, baptisms and wedding blessings are by arrangement with Fr Rod.
We are experienced, working, pastoral, sacramental priests so if access to a mainstream parish church or priest has been denied or is unwanted for whatever reason then we would be delighted to help you request God's blessing.
We take these requests very seriously and are available for all services as well as weekly worship.
A blessing after a civil marriage in an hotel, especially if the hotel has chapel within its grounds, has become a favoured option and we are sure all couples requesting God's blessing and approval know this is a serious faith matter. Bishops Michael and Nicola conduct their wedding services within Stately Homes and hotels with chapels and churches within their grounds.
