Please join us in daily prayer for our community

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

O God, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters. May all who suffer pain, illness or disease realize that they are chosen to be saints, and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Those who are sick, we pray for:

15 year old Alexander, who has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour

Carol, who is waiting for her biopsy results - we pray all is well

Teresa, who has a brain tumour and is undergoing chemotherapy

Ben, (51) who has terminal cancer, his wife, his 12 and 9 year old children

God, Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, in your mercy, bring to your place of peace and light, the souls of your servants, whom you have summoned from this world. Call them, we pray, to be numbered in the fellowship of your saints. Lord, comfort all those who grieve. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

The departed and their families, we pray for:

The family of Marjory - who followed her beloved husband all too soon to eternity

The families of George, Lorna and Nigel, who have become our dear friends

Our Bishop Glenn, his wife and children, whose Mother died suddenly

The Causer family who tirelessly seek justice for the vicious murder of their beloved  Michael

The family of Joan, who have just placed her to rest with her beloved husband

John, Jill, Chris, Evelyn, who grieve alone following the recent deaths of their spouses and for Peter, who has been left alone since he lost his brother, Will

Sue who still grieves the tragic death at his own hand of her son. We pray for the peace she cannot find

Julia and her children, who so suddenly lost a young husband and father

Every family Bishops Nicola and Glenn and Father Rod meet, who are bereaved

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers
